Fileflare’s unlimited bandwidth is a real advantage for heavy downloads. BIG can be attractive at a lower paid entry price when you need a modest protected catalogue and its Shopify delivery workflow.
A small protected catalogue
BIG Starter includes PDF stamping, 15 GB storage and 50 GB monthly bandwidth for $9.99. Fileflare Basic includes stamping and 50 GB storage at $19 with unlimited bandwidth. Decide whether the extra transfer and storage justify the difference for your store.
A large library or video business
Fileflare Premium lists 1 TB and unlimited bandwidth at $39. BIG Growth is $49.99 for 1 TB storage and 1 TB transfer. BIG is not the capacity-price winner in that comparison; consider workflow and support fit rather than ignoring the numbers.
Developer requirements matter
Fileflare lists REST API access on Basic. BIG’s API and outgoing webhooks are on Growth and Enterprise. Check the endpoints and events you need with each provider before assuming both integrations are interchangeable.
Avoid comparing the wrong plan names
Some older articles call Fileflare’s $39 plan Growth. The current listing calls it Premium. Use the live listing and our dated comparison table when calculating costs, and recheck before subscribing.
Your practical action plan
- Write your acceptance checklist. List every required file type, delivery mode, protection option and integration. Separate must-have capabilities from attractive extras.
- Test your own workload. Use the same product and customer journey across the shortlisted apps. Include your largest realistic file, a mobile download and an existing-order scenario if migrating.
- Price a normal and peak month. Use stored GB, transferred GB, order count and any provider-specific sales caps. Confirm the current billing screen and migration terms before committing.
Before you publish
- The product page matches the actual files, access and timing.
- A sample or preview reflects the product customers receive.
- The purchase, email and mobile access route have been tested.
- Compatibility, licence terms and support contact are easy to find.
- Capacity and costs have been checked against the current plan.
