A migration should solve a concrete problem: a changing bill, a missing workflow or the desire to run fulfilment inside Shopify. Start by auditing the parts of SendOwl you actually use.
Separate checkout from fulfilment
SendOwl can provide off-platform checkout and marketing tools as well as delivery. A Shopify-focused delivery app does not automatically replace payment links, subscriptions or an affiliate programme. Identify those dependencies before cancelling.
Model your actual usage
SendOwl’s current pricing uses annual sales and orders as well as monthly transfer. BIG paid plans use storage and bandwidth without an order-count cap. Use normal and peak months, and include external services you would need to replace.
Protect existing customer access
Export the data your current plan supports and back up original files. Map products, variants and licence inventories. Do not assume old SendOwl links will keep working after cancellation; ask about their lifecycle and verify previous-order access in the new setup.
Pick the alternative for the reason you are leaving

Your practical action plan
- Write your acceptance checklist. List every required file type, delivery mode, protection option and integration. Separate must-have capabilities from attractive extras.
- Test your own workload. Use the same product and customer journey across the shortlisted apps. Include your largest realistic file, a mobile download and an existing-order scenario if migrating.
- Price a normal and peak month. Use stored GB, transferred GB, order count and any provider-specific sales caps. Confirm the current billing screen and migration terms before committing.
Before you publish
- The product page matches the actual files, access and timing.
- A sample or preview reflects the product customers receive.
- The purchase, email and mobile access route have been tested.
- Compatibility, licence terms and support contact are easy to find.
- Capacity and costs have been checked against the current plan.
