There is no useful universal winner for a tiny PDF store, a software vendor and a video publisher. A good shortlist starts with the customer journey and the workload behind it.
Compare the same job
File delivery, licence inventory, streaming and a full course platform are different jobs. Write a short acceptance checklist for your store. A long feature list is only helpful if you know which features must work together.
Make capacity concrete
Estimate the size of the catalogue and monthly transfer separately. A 100 MB purchase downloaded 1,000 times transfers about 100 GB before retries. Unlimited products, orders and download count do not necessarily include unlimited bandwidth.
Use documentation, then a test purchase
Public listings establish what a provider claims. A trial establishes whether the workflow fits you. Test the email, checkout access, mobile download and one exception such as a wrong email address or a scheduled release.
Understand who wrote the recommendation

Your practical action plan
- Write your acceptance checklist. List every required file type, delivery mode, protection option and integration. Separate must-have capabilities from attractive extras.
- Test your own workload. Use the same product and customer journey across the shortlisted apps. Include your largest realistic file, a mobile download and an existing-order scenario if migrating.
- Price a normal and peak month. Use stored GB, transferred GB, order count and any provider-specific sales caps. Confirm the current billing screen and migration terms before committing.
Before you publish
- The product page matches the actual files, access and timing.
- A sample or preview reflects the product customers receive.
- The purchase, email and mobile access route have been tested.
- Compatibility, licence terms and support contact are easy to find.
- Capacity and costs have been checked against the current plan.
